About our counselors

No camp can be better than its counselor staff.  Kickapoo uses much care in selecting counselors of mature judgment who have had considerable experience in leading girls of camp age. Our counselors are from colleges and universities and are chosen for their prior camp experience and leadership qualifications.

They consist of highly trained, qualified young ladies with a love of children and the outdoors. Many of our staff have been campers with us, so we have known them and their families for years. Our low staff-to-camper ratio in both program areas and living groups ensures that children are well-supervised. Our 1st aid attendant is specially trained to work in a camp setting.
