 KICKAPOO RETREAT CENTER is nestled
in the foothills of Kerrville, Texas and is far from the hectic
routine of everyday life. This is the special magic of the beautiful
Texas Hill Country. Running through the property is picturesque
Turtle Creek, a spring fed tributary of the Guadalupe River suitable
for all sorts of water activities.

Since
1925 Kickapoo Kamp has operated as a private girls summer camp
so the list of recreational activities is extensive. Some are
available whenever you want them - tennis, camping, fishing,
picnics, games, table tennis, hiking, walking, campfires or just
plain relaxing by the beautiful and tranquil Turtle Creek. Other
activities will be available upon request - horseback riding,
canoeing, water skiing, swimming, riflery, and archery. Kickapoo
Retreat Center requires and provides certified staff for horseback
riding and water activities when they are requested. Kickapoo
has a sports field, riding arena, two sand volleyball courts,
basketball goal, lighted tennis courts, riding trails, campfire
sites and equipment for movies, softball, soccer and kickball.
Away from the center of activity is a site for outdoor cooking
and camping next to Turtle Creek.

The "Lodge" is
in the center of the property and features a large fireplace
and dining area. When not used for meals the Lodge can
serve as a large meeting room or can be used by two or more
small groups. An amphitheater and two open-air covered pavilions,
one
with a stage, can be used for special activities, movies, talent
shows or a group get together.
